One Wild Ride was a quick, light read. I had a fun time getting to watch the unlikely meeting and interesting living arrangements thereafter. Elle and Kas were an interesting couple, and I loved that he was willing to put in the work with her, no matter how hard she tried to resist his advances.Kas was the best part of this story. He was sweet and devoted, even when he was given no encouragement that Elle would ever give him the time of day. He won me over with the little – and monumental – things he did to prove to Elle he was more than she gave him credit for. I felt like he had a great backstory, since he seemed so compassionate, and I would have loved to have known what made him who he was.
I feel like I struggled with knowing who Elle and Kas were as people. I knew a few major traits and fears they each had, but I never really knew them. Usually, both Rebecca Shea and AL Jackson excel at character development, so it was disappointing to feel like it was lacking in this book. It also caused me to have a hard time connecting to Elle, even though we knew why she was reluctant to give Kas a chance she was hard to like.
One Wild Ride is a companion novella to AL Jackson and Rebecca Shea’s One Wild Night, and they have somewhat concurrent timelines. You can easily read one without the other, but the stories feed off each other a little bit, and the experience is richer when they are read in concert. One Wild Ride is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Elle and Kas.

One Wild Ride A Hollywood StandAlone Romance edition by AL Jackson Rebecca Shea Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
ONE WILD RIDE is exactly that, so prepare to buckle in. Sharing the same timeline as its predecessor, One Wild Night, this can definitely be read as a standalone, however I do suggest reading One Wild Night first.
In One Wild Night Elle is unable to make it to the premier of her director father's new movie, however an explanation is never given. Now it's time for that explanation. What an explanation it is ... or should I say who it is ... Kassius Cowen, underwear model and wannabe actor. From the moment Elle literally crashed into as there is an undeniable chemistry that grows at a fast pace. There is only one problem though ... Elle has sworn off actors due to a previous relationship that left her unable to trust a man's motives for dating her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was fast paced, full of angst, plenty of sexual tension and a few emotional moments. I loved Kas and the way in which he never gave up on Elle, he knew he wanted her even when she second guessed his reasons for being with her. He continually chipped away at the wall that Elle had built around herself for protection from being hurt yet again.
This story was romance at its best. I only hope that these two authors join forces again to write some more leading men that can be fully swooned over.
Definitely a recommended read.

FIVE STARS
One Wild Ride by A.L. Jackson and Rebecca Shea is the second book in their sexy co-written Hollywood Chronicles series. This dual POV story of Kassius, the model/aspiring actor and Elle the once-burned daughter of a movie producer. Set in Hollywood, this story jumps right in with a disastrous and painful meet-cute, a little emotional blackmail, and a whole lot of learning about each other and learning to open up and trust again.
Elle has been burned before when a previous boyfriend was just using her to get to her movie producer father. She will not let that happen again and she will never date another actor. Except for when she runs into Kas in a parking lot. That "encounter" pushes these two unlikely characters together and with Kas manipulating the situation to spend more time with her they each learn who the other one is. Elle is scared though, of letting down her walls and falling for the one type she swore off forever.
Kas has not been interested in dating. He just wants his focus to be on taking his modeling career the next step and moving into acting. When he meets Elle he has no idea who she is but for the first time in forever his interest is sparked and he'll do all he can to be with her. Even if it means tanking his future dreams to prove to her he means what he says and that he can be trusted.
Well-written and fast-paced, this novel is funny, quirky, angst-filled and the sexual tension is off the charts! I really enjoyed this - hope you do too!
One Wild Ride is another fun and flirty collaboration from AL Jackson and Rebecca Shea. Once again we are in Hollywood and it's Elle Ward's turn to find that unexpected love. She's Kaylee's bestie from One Wild Night and her chance at romance also starts with a collision. This time she literally backs her car over a motorcycle belonging to the very sexy underwear model displayed in the billboard she was caught ogling just minutes before. And before you know it, Elle becomes Kas Cowen's nursemaid and a whole lot more.
These two have such a great chemistry and I love that the Authors don't waste time on creating a way for them to be together. Kas is one charming man. And, of course, he's a struggling actor and for Elle, that means the worst kind of trouble. Her past issues stay at the forefront as Kas continues to chip away at the wall around her heart. A huge misunderstanding could mean the end of this burgeoning love and I kept my fingers crossed Kas and Elle would find a way to work things out.
I liked that the timeline matched that of One Wild Night and Kaylee and her man Paxton make a few key appearances to help our heroine out. In addition, a complete surprise in the form of a beloved AL Jackson couple make an appearance towards the end of the book and I couldn't have been more thrilled.
One Wild Ride is pure bliss from beginning to end. These co-Authored books from Jackson and Shea provide a lighter fare from the heavier reads I tend to gravitate to and the sweet and sexy only they can deliver is great fun.
4 solid stars!!
